Are you looking for a great place to eat after taking in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City?
If you are on the east side of Greenwich Village this Thanksgiving, you don’t have to travel far to find restaurants serving a Thanksgiving meal. These restaurants will be open and serving on Thanksgiving Day.
Al Diwan
Though it may not be pretty to look at from the outside, the food inside this Middle Eastern restaurant has gotten top marks. From 4pm – 1 am, they are serving up a special Thanksgiving meal at reasonable prices. $60/2 people, $120/4 people, $180/6 people, $200/8-10 people. You can find their Thanksgiving menu on their website.
Al Diwan is located at:
210 Avenue A (between 13th and 14th Streets)
Knife + Fork Restaurant & Wine Bar
Currently offering a seasonal menu with winter squash and vegetables, on Thanksgiving they will serve up a five-course, prix-fixe traditional Thanksgiving menu for $65/person.
Knife + Fork Restaurant & Wine Bar is located at:
108 E 4th Street (between 1st and 2nd Avenues)
The Smith
Open all day on Thanksgiving, there are no plans for a special meal to honor the occasion, but The Smith will be open all day on Thanksgiving, serving up its usual menu. With a selection of salads, sandwiches, and steaks, and items such as macaroni and cheese and pumpkin salad on the menu, if you can’t get into a traditional turkey dinner, this is a great restaurant to put together a decent substitute.
The Smith is located at: 55 3rd Avenue (between 10th and 11th Streets)
